I feel as though there is NO WAY I can objectively answer this because I am SUCH a Harry Potter fan and I really think J.K. Rowling got it right with the elemental/house/character signs. 

BUT. I will do a sign assignment because there are a few alterations here besides lumping water signs in slytherin and fire in gryffindor, etc.

Aries and Scorpio are both daredevils, sexually charged, leaders, intense, and thrive on results. Mars imparts agression and both signs are known to have temper tantrums from time to time. Together they make a very super-charged pair that value loyalty and create intense chemistry if in a relationship. Over time, Scorpio has adopted much of Pluto’s influence, but the impact of a strong planet like Mars is still seen in the sign today. 

Taurus and Libra are very different from one another when it comes to the expression of Venus. Both signs are quite aesthetic in hobbies, career, or just seen in their personality. Both signs enjoy social time (Libra more than Taurus), and have a flair for being great gift givers and putting together an event. However, Taurus places more value on the material because their work ethic and determination is an extension of who they are and what they connect to. Sagittarius and Pisces are quite different signs presently, but Jupiter’s presence has diminished in Pisces in most obvious ways—this has a lot to do with how over the years both Sag and Pisces have changed a bit through history. The easiest way to see the similarities is how both signs connect with others. Both signs will display that Jupiter generosity and high-mindedness by being open to new ideas, opportunities, and meeting new people and trying to make connections with them. Both signs have a love for pleasure and are often connected with philosophy and spirituality—themes Jupiter is known to bring. Sag and Pisces tend to get along quite well in real life and their relationships often break stereotypes because there is a lot of understanding between these signs. 

Lastly, Cap and Aquarius were once both ruled by Saturn. It is easiest to see Saturn’s influence on Aquarius by comparing how these two signs are similar: both are hardworking and creative, both are determined, both can appear cold or aloof, and both signs are known to stick to their guns once an opinion is formed. Although Aquarius has become more humanitarian, warm, friendly, and adventurous, Saturn does well with Air signs because of their abilities to reason and use objectivity, most often seen in Aquarius.

Typically any of the Fire signs. They tend to take risks many times in their lives, which often leads them down very adventurous paths. Because of the often “risk taking” they increase their odds of success. Fire signs may be less known for their intuition and instincts, but they posses actually very strong ones that they use likened to a trick up their sleeves!

Sure, I might make a QRG on this too in the future.

Generally, the Earth signs tend to be very hardworking and practical in regards to making money and doing what needs to be done as opposed to what they WANT to do. Out of all of the Earth signs, Taurus has a lazy streak, but they tend to work smart and are naturally inclined to put their money to good use. 

Although the Fire signs are extremely goal oriented, they tend to want to play now and work later because if a job doesn’t pertain to their life goals, they get a bit distracted. However, once on track to doing what they’re passionate about, they clean up their act. Fire signs are quite risky and make friends in high places which usually leads to big payoffs and windfalls of money—often times this is perceived as luck. 

Air signs fluctuate between determined and passive when it comes to work. Gemini changes direction a bit more than the other Air signs, but they tend to appeal to bosses and co-workers due to their willingness to be of service. Libra and Aquarius are matter-of-fact when at work, but also quite social, sometimes, a bit too much. They are excellent idea people and know when to leave a job for a better opportunity or more money.

Water signs have great staying power and really strive for the top when working. Pisces is similar to Taurus in that they can be slow to start, but once they find their niche, they capitalize. Scorpio’s will always find their way to a position of leadership, sooner or later, and are on top of their game. Cancer’s are selective in their work ethic, but are one’s to watch out for because while it isn’t out there for everyone to see, they have some serious goals and will make them happen.

Absolutely! It’s in their nature to be competitive and to want to get better at it too, which is why they keep it up. Friendly sportsmanship and showing him that losing helps you learn, grow, and understand are important qualities you can teach him as an older sibling.

*As a note, most younger siblings, male or female, LOVE to compete with their older brother or sister. My younger Virgo brother did it with me (and still does, even now that we are both adults, lol), but it isn’t as relentless as an Aries or the Fire signs (all tend to be very competitive and drive to be the best).
